LAKE UNION FLOATING HOME COMMUNITIES
The 3 locations Seattle Floating Home Communities can be found on Lake Union are along Westlake, Northlake and Eastlake.
The Eastlake side of Lake Union is home to the largest amount of floating homes. The community names here are: The Log Foundation, Lake Union, Wandesforde, Boston Rose, Flo Villa, Dox, Fairview Moorings, Willow, Tenas Chuck, Phoenix, Fairview Landing, Roanoke Reef, Mallard Cove, Rosenquist, Lamberton, Wards Cove, Jessup Dock, Lemke Dock and Tui Tui.
Westlake is home to 6 Floating Home communities: 2420 Westlake Coop, 2460 Inc, Nesika Chuck, Westlake Cove, Bonny Himes and Old Boathouse.
The third floating Home are along Lake Union is Northlake with 1 community: Lees moorings.
PORTAGE BAY FLOATING HOME COMMUNITIES
On the Montlake side the floating home communities are called: Longyear, Salix, Onis Goodin, Wyman Dock, Ken Kennedy, Dolphin, Houseboat Harbor, Willow Cove, Pursell, Kingfisher, Henderson, Bosbyshell, Shelby Dock, Boyer on the Bay, Brackett, Sanford, Dock Society, Runstad Dock.
The University of Washington side has one Floating Home community: Boat Street.
Other Houseboats
In addition to Floating Homes, there are other types of Houseboats in Seattle. These are either House Barges, Floating On-Water Residences (FOWRs)or a Vessel Containing Dwelling Units (VDUs).
